OH MY!!

Okay, okay. So I know I haven’t been posting as often as I should be. I’ve been really busy these past few weeks. If you have been following my blog posts, a lot is going on. Graduation is just around the corner and I’ve had issues with deciding my future. Well, not anymore. I may not want to go to law school but I did find the next best thing.

At some point, I will go back to school. I really want to attend grad school but I don’t really have the GPA for it because it’s way to competitive, it doesn’t mean I won’t still try. Anyway, today I attended an information session for women in policing for the VPD (Vancouver Police Department) and well, I knew that it was meant for me. I have been wanting to join and today, well they really sold it to me. I had been afraid because of a lot of things. I was holding myself back. I really want to be a part of their counter exploitation unit.

I’m just really excited for my future. I still have a lot to do. But what I have been wanting to just express is don’t hold back. Sometimes, we are the only ones who hold ourselves back, we talk ourselves out of many things and doubt what we are capable of. DON’T. I mean, I’m the queen of this but I’ve decided to not be afraid. Plus you really must have confidence in what you want.

One of the constables said something that really stuck with me. She said to ask ourselves “Do I have what it takes?. And we all do. We have what it takes. I know that I do. If I do, you do too.

We are all capable of reaching the impossible.
